How to bid

We are proud to offer our Bidum Live! software at all auctions. This software allows you to take part in a live auction of Bidum from the comfort of your home or office on the Internet. You will be able to browse and BID LIVE against other Internet bidders and floor bidders during the auction event.

To participate, please go to www.bidum.eu/Live during the live auction. Just enter your username and password for the bidum auction, and you can start bidding with the new Bidum Live! software. We strongly suggest that you place an online bid before the auction in case of internet problems during the live auction.

The Internet Bidding feature allows you to quickly and easily enter a bid to be placed

Live before the auction starts (or before the respective lot has come up). These bids can be modified, modified, or deleted up to the time the item goes live. Our Auctioneer will bid live for you to ensure that your bids get through, and if you're outbid live after the auction, it will allow you to continue to bid with Bidum Live.

How to make a bid:

To make a bid on the internet at any bidum auction, follow the following steps:
  1. Log in to Bidum using your specific auction credential.
  2. Search or browse for the lot you're interested in. You can do this on the home page, on the home page of the auctions or on the home page of the auction you wish to participate in.
  3. Click on the link or photo icon for the batch you want to bid on, or you can bid directly from the listing.
  4. You'll see a box on this page that allows you to place a bid. You're going to need to enter your maximum bid. If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to enter your username and password. The bid you enter is the maximum amount that you are willing to pay for the item. However, at any time, your current bid will be the lesser of your maximum bid or an increase in bids than any other bidder has on your bid. To continue, click the "Bid" button again.
  5. You will be taken to the "Please confirm your bid" page. This page will show you the name of the item you are bidding on, the current bid, the maximum bid, the purchaser's premium and, if any, the tax amount. If you are satisfied with your bid, click the "Confirm Bid" button.
  6. You're going to be taken to either of the two pages. If your bid is the current high bid, you will be notified and given some information about what might happen to your bid over the remainder of the auction. You will also receive a notice of Bid Confirmation via e-mail. If your bid is not the current high bid, you will be taken to a page that will inform you of the fact and allow you to place another bid.
  7. The Bidum auction day is here, and you've found the item you want. You've made a bid that you know is going to win the item for you. But while you know that you are the leading bidder, the current bid keeps creeping up and down. Will your bid be held against the Internet bidders who have been appearing in the last ten minutes of the auction? Is it going to be able to win the lot against the people on the auction floor? Because you've already made a lot of bids, it doesn't mean you can't place another one. You can increase your bid by simply bidding in exactly the same way that you placed your original bid through the individual item page. You do not bid against yourself; your bid is simply changed to the new amount and the current bid-what the item would sell for if the auction ended immediately—is then recalculated.
  8. If you are a successful high bidder when the auction closes, you will receive an e-mail confirmation immediately after the auction followed by an e-mail invoice in the next few days.

Guidelines for bidding

  1. All you need to do is bid once.
  2. Ask for the maximum amount you're willing to pay for this auction lot. This amount, unseen by other bidders or consignors, will be used by our auctioneer to bid for you as long as the current bid is less than your bid.
  3. The bids must be total amounts of euros.
  4. Please review your bid carefully before submitting it. Make sure you're willing to pay the price you've been bidding for this lot. If you make a mistake about your bid, you will have only one more chance to correct it before it becomes final.
  5. If you have a picture of this lot, click it for a more detailed view of the item.
  6. In addition to the successful bid, a Buyer's Premium per lot is charged.
  7. Because bids come in via phone, email, fax, regular mail, etc., a high bid tie is possible. In the event of a high bid tie, the first bid entered-regardless of its source-will win.
  8. If you are a successful high bidder when the auction closes, you will receive an e-mail confirmation immediately after the auction followed by an e-mail invoice for your winnings in the next few days.
  9. Terms and conditions differ for each type of sale and are subject to change. Please check our Terms and Conditions. Your bid means that you will accept it and comply with it if you are a winning bidder.
  10. Shipping varies by type of item and quantity.
